The wheel is turning again, one cycle ends as another begins. The Year of the Wood Snake has ended, along with a time of shedding - what you no longer need, what does not serve you, wounds and limiting beliefs. The element of Wood was needed after years of Water, but in these turbulent times, its strength to build and fortify worked both for and against you and the world. Many started shedding and releasing after years of personal inner growth; sadly, many more wound their way deeper into fear and polarising ideologies.

The wheel has turned, this is a new year - numerologically a one year and now the start of the Year of the Fire Horse - blazing a trail, igniting, whinnying and stamping its foot to get your attention. Where the Snake urged you to look within and shed, the Horse now wants you to become who you are, apply what you have learned, and step into the new and authentic. Be brave.

Horse energy is bold, healing, adventurous and unyielding. Think not of the quiet horse alone in a paddock, think instead of a herd of wild mustangs ranging across the land, untethered and free. That is the Spirit of Horse. They hold themselves as individuals but also as a herd. They seek time alone and together. They also appreciate the company of other creatures that cross their path and befriend them. Unlike many in the animal kingdom who only enjoy the company of their own kind, Horse is more open and willing to know others and see their worth.

The Year of the Horse heralds a time for leadership and clarity - a chance to forge your own path, lead your own life and align with your Souls path and purpose. But Horse does not like to stand still for too long, it will encourage you to move - whether that is literally through your body or figuratively and through your mind and understanding. No standing back and just watching. Horse will nudge you to action.

Personally, this is a year to step into your flow, be all that you are and embrace joy. Horse is grounded, surefooted and graceful, and it offers you these attributes to support your growth and emergence. However, Horse is not patient, it prefers speed and will encourage rapid or bursts of change - be aware and be mindful when these bursts come - let yourself flow within, dont try to stop them, or they will only get more forceful. Allow yourself to enjoy them; they will propel you to new opportunities and understandings of yourself and the world around you. Many new discoveries can happen in a Horse year.

Globally, Horse will also push for clarity over chaos, and the fear surrounding many will push back, not wanting to give up its hold. But this is where Fire comes into its own - bringing through illusions, sparking vision and truth. Denial will also fight back, but for many they blinkers can fall and a clear view of the world and current affairs can begin. Of course, they can still choose not to see, but it will be harder.

Horse will also demand of some that they step up and lead, bringing change into the World - the start of a movement, perhaps. For years, stepping back from the chaos was needed, watching and observing, waiting for the time to act - that time is coming. However, ensure you are acting from your authentic self, and not from fear or anger. Do not demand the world to change; show it there is a better way. Lead by example.

Fire will also affect you personally, igniting creativity, purpose, passion and a hunger for adventure. Travel, new experiences, new encouragers, new people. Horse enjoys being wild, and Fire will surge with that wildness and burn through doubt and uncertainty. But be careful, it does not make you reckless; take a moment to ensure it is right for you - you do not need to always follow the herd or the call of the wild. You do not want to get burned.

Horse, Fear and One are a powerful trinity that will bring about change and new beginnings. For many, this will be the start of a cycle of wonderful experiences, but for some, it will begin a cycle of challenges. The work they have not done, the wounds they have not healed being singed and stomped on by the energies and force of this year.

The World is on the cusp, a tipping point - fall one way into fear and chaos, or the other into compassion and flow. Do not consider love to be the opposite of fear, for at this time, many in the World do not truly know what love is and would therefore manifest more imbalance from the place of love they occupy. Likewise, for order being the opposite of chaos, it is too rigid for you all at this time, too defined and unyielding. Flow allows, it does not judge, it does demand, but it does accept and understand. That is what is needed.

Horse has four feet firmly on the ground, anchoring it and connecting it to the World. Each representing a key element of its influence - Movement (are you free to run and explore - yourself, the world, an idea?). Clarity (knowing who you are, what you think, seeing through illusions and lies). Belonging (to yourself, your herd - family, community, tribe and to the world). Courage (to act, to change, to accept and to forgive).

Embrace the Year of the Horse, saddle up and enjoy the ride with Fire under your feet and at your fingertips, wondrous adventure and learning awaits.
