Your culture is full of Heroes - some real and some fantasy - that you revere. They symbolise the fight against good and evil; that the brave and courageous can conquer all and they give you hope. Hope that you too can or might be rescued from your life or situation; hope that the world can be rescued from the dire place it finds itself in.
Hope is a powerful thing and vital to your survival. But misplaced hope is not so helpful. You constantly look out into the world seeking a saviour instead of within to the one who can save you. You are the Superhero in your life. You are the one with the power to change the world around you.
Change does not happen overnight, all good things take time. But change you can. Even the smallest step can start an avalanche of change. Do not lose hope in yourself - this is the road to being powerless and my friends you are not powerless.
Your stories of heroes tell you that aid is out there, support and assistance can be found - this is true. It can be found in your friends, family, community and indeed society itself. But first, you must look for it. Ask for Help.
That help will also come from us - the unseen support around that comes from Spirit. We too step up and assist. But we can not rescue you; we can only guide you to rescuing yourselves.
Your future in your hands. Hold it, nurture it. Do not fritter it away whilst waiting for a hero to come along. Be strong.
